Lovely to drive but a bit flat at the moment after the transporter. Hopefully it will free up ?

Nice van pal, which bhp model did you get?

What was the bhp of your transporter?

There are easy to map to 180bhp 8)

Cheers :D
I got a 125bhp as that was the best deal at the time. My Transporter was 180 bhp and it flys .... You can feel this transit wants to go but is so held back by ecu limitation !!!

What I found was the pedal does have more on it, I wasn't putting it to the floor at first. Done 5k now and it goes well just long gears

Yeah no point in getting the 155 as they all map to around 180 whether you buy the 100, 125 or 155!

The map is easy, just make sure you take it to somewhere reputable as the ecu has to be sealed up properly when done as it's behind the front bumper!

Any suggestions on who to chip it up?

You can re-map a 100 to 180?

I just had a tuning box fitted. Although you can remap you run the risk of invalidating the warranty / having it wiped during a software update

People have their own opinions on this, I've always gone for remaps in the past - too much to loose this time, well until the warranty up anyway. You got it in Panther black , I have the same but the 155. may I ask what you paid for yours -VAT?

I didnt realise mapping could increase bhp by 80 to be honest.

I also have the 155 in panther black, I paid 24.5k inc VAT

Proper mapping by someone who knows what they're doing can be very effective, sticking on a 'tuning box' ain't gonna get a 100ps Custom up to 180ps! Try Martyn http://fordtransit.org/ad/redirect/29/ if you want it doing properly.

Have you got a picture of the position of the ecu?

Do you also get the bigger brakes when you remap from 100 to 180 bhp?

A good tuning box could get you 25 to 30 bhp but you need one that connects to the air flow sensor as well as the fuel rail. I had one on my freelander and it was good for towing.
I have email the company as I still have the box. I think they can remap it for my 155 bhp custom so will keep you up to date if I get it fitted.
