Thanks, is there a ground sheet that fits between the van and the awning door?

I agree.

Our Wellhouse Terrier gas locker is all sealed and indeed vented to the outside at the bottom. In addition the opposite side of the rear is also vented to outside. This is in case of failure of the locker seal and the van being parked with that side at its lowest.

There is loads of info available online, some is completely wrong though, LPGA code of practice 27 is what will be used by insurance companies to try a get out of claims, so to me thats a good starting point. some info in this link http://www.gaslocker.co.uk/gas_locker_safety.html

The most common things are.
flexible hose, orange or black is not permitted to connect to fixed appliances.
7kg butane is the maximum size bottle you can store inside a van.
gas drop holes are to be fitted below all gas appliances.
you can't push rubber hose over copper pipe and use a clip to seal it.

As said before all cooking will be done outside with the BBQ the gas can will be in the van when traveling but not connected to anything. Why would anyone want to cook in a van the smell must be terrible. :D

Did you start with a crewvan? Short or long wheelbase? Thanks.

Gas is a problem on boats too and so a lot of owners use Origo cookers which use meths ( smells!) or (much better) Bioethanol fuel It uses spill proof fuel pans so is particularly safe if you have small children.

We used one in a Mazda Bongo camper for ten years and as they are stainless steel with no moving parts they need no maintenance other than an occasional clean! The self contained unit can also be taken outside and used alongside a BBQ in good weather. I usually order ten litres of fuel which is delivered in 1 litre bottles
Dometic ORIGO 3000 2-Burner Free-Standing Camping Stove - about £160 on EBay
They also come in a built in version which is a lot more expensive and not portable

Do you have any internal photos of how you've fitted the Van X cab curtains to the headliner? I can't decide whether to rivet to the cab headliner or rear headliner. Also have you managed to bend the rail to fit the contours of the van? I was wondering if i should only do the flat bit of the head liner. Any help will be most welcome as I'm petrified of stuffing it up. Cheers

The headliner is wood so i used woodscrews.

The curtain rails a easy to bend just do a little at a time and keep offering them up till you are happy.
