Thanks for posting an idea of costs much appreciated.
Swivel front seats really open up the dining area but you need to have a single passenger seat to do this .I fitted one to the passenger seat of a Mazda Bongo ( smaller than transit C) and it was brilliant to sit around both sides of the table - changed the whole feel of the van

I have a curtain to replace the bulkhead.
The swivel seat is a good option but my son likes to sit up front with us so we need the double seat i know you can swivel a double seat but looks a bit cumberson?
I have also bought a drive away awning and fitted some roof rails for this, hope to have a dry run putting this up over the weekend. Weather permitting. :D

Is the bulk head curtain bought off the shelf or have you 'custom' made it? I've just bought a drive away awning as well and hopefully testing it out this weekend.

The Bulkhead curtain is one of Van-X ones off the shelf you just have to cut the rail to size and drill mounting hole in it.

Nice job.Just what I'm thinking of doing. How did you find fitting units? Did they fit ok or did you have to mod.Did you do the electrics yourself?

I have used the vanx curtains too and you drill small holes in the rail then into the headliner. You then fit the rail to the headliner (making sure you dont drill the steel roof) with rivits. Vanx supply thr rivits but I used a different type (bulbex) which have a slotted shank and form a x when they get rivited. This makes for a much stronger rivit.

I did my curtains a while ago and had to cut bend and remake a T5 set but method of fitting is the same.

I do like that, is there enough room in a swb to do this setup?

Will be using a gas BBQ for cooking the van cooker will be for the odd cup of tea or light meal. I have left the gas hose on the hob long enough to connect upto the BBQ canister.

Don't want to rain on the parade so to speak.. but I've seen quite a few that don't comply with the regs, my van insurance only allows 1kg of LPG (blowlamp) to be carried inside the van.. Gas bottles should only be carried in purpose built gas lockers vented to outside. Believe me I'm not a safety sally but I see some really well built potentially disastrous DIY jobs every week .
