High level brake lights

Postby seikokid » Sun Nov 20, 2016 9:54 pm

Noticed on a 66 plate the rear brake lights at the top of the doors had 3 separate lights in per unit . Is this an aftermarket upgrade or do the euro 6 models come with these as standard ?

they were clear and bright and illuminated all the diffuser

What do you mean by diffuser, did it have a spoiler on the top of the doors? If so it might have aftermarket brake lights in them, but I seem to remember somebody else commenting on here that he'd spotted the Euro 6 had LED brake lights.

behind another new custom today though the plate was begin GM16 ( could tell it was new by the paintwork ) . Anyhow... it also had the high level LED brake lights . Interestingly it had normal side bulbs lights which had slight a delay behind the high levels when the brakes were pressed -

I noted the reg and rang Trust ford only to hear the part was a 1 piece bulb for £3ish . confused now !?!

Any luck tracking the part down?

Seen the same on a WR66 plate and they do look very nice.

Bummer, looks like their fitting the led modules at the factory but not updated their parts database with the correct part number.
