Has anyone removed or fitted a second armrest?

Yes, had second armrests fitted to both front seats. Cost just under £300 including trimming in leather to match.

They're the company Wellhouse use for all their trimming.

Where do you get arm rests? I'd like to add another to my drivers seat. :)

Any update on this please? Im interested in hearing if anyone has succeeded in retrofitting a door side arm rest. Im outside UK so actually here LHD custom transits, I guess all, are equipped with one arm rest from the factory but the second one for door side would be a must for me. Cheers!

Does anyone know if the seat frames are symmetrical - so could you just fit a LHD armrest to the door side of a RHD driver's seat? (No side airbags obviously)

For reference of anyone trying this in the future:

I'm looking to do the same to my Mk 8, called up Ford Dealer and their PartsPlus team told me that the PN for the RHD right arm rest is 2195518, and the bracket is either 2211195 or 2211198 (as one is right handed and the other left handed, he advised to order both to avoid confusion then return whichever is incorrect). Cost for arm rest is £130ish and brackets are £22ish each.

Will report back once I've tried it.

For those interested, I managed to fit the right armrest to the RHD drivers side seat. It is the mirror image of the left armrest, but can only be fitted (to the best of my knowledge) to seats without a built in airbag.

The parts required are 2195518 for the armrest and 2211198 for the bracket (please check yourselves before ordering).

To access the seat frame, follow this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3DbNriffUs and then you will be able to use M6 bolts/rivet on the bracket and attach the armrest (many videos online).

Cost me £157.50 for the 2 items.
