Which battery is for what?

Is there a reason why the custom has more than one battery and can I connect an amplifier to either one? Cheers

I think it's the same as the mk7 the fronts an aux battery the rear is the staring battery not all customs hane them fitted it's normally if you hane stop start or something fancy like the inverter fitted so use the front to wire amp off or go onto etis and look for the power take off points
just follow the onscreen instructions and it's fairly idiot proof...trouble is, we keep producing better idiots

Wadey is correct Front aux,rear start.
Recommended connection point is on the side of the seat base under a plastic block.
It is the customer connection point which is protected with a 60a fuse and shuts down 20-30 minuets after ignition off to prevent battery drain.

Is the front battery for aux and the rear for start? I thought it was the other way round. This is taken out of the BEMM showing twin battery setup, items 1 and 5 indicate the batteries. I haven't tested these so i'm only guided by what the manual says. If you know different pleas advise..

60 amps,well each stud is fused for 60 amps but you probably only have one stud

Cheers Jason. Could I take a supply direct from the battery that has the small plastic Velcro access cover? I only ask as the amp I'm fitting needs an 80amp fuse and I don't want the 60amp fuse blowing in case that affects the running of the van (it's highly unlikely I'll blow it, but want to be safe). HNY mate

The 60 amp fuse only protects the connection point, so blowing it won't be a problem
You can combine two draw off points if you need more than 60 amp
