Are you sure about this young man ?
Switching the alarm off by opening the door with the key ? That's not how the old mk7 tramps van alarm works
Open with the key and you've got about 15 seconds to put a chipped key in and turn the ignition in or whoooop whoooop the alarm goes off
I shall be checking when I get home you know

Pretty sure, I checked that on mine before I did the mod, that said, the aim was to stop the rear doors being unlocked. It even said in the handbook that the alarm will trigger if opened with the key blade only, it didn't on mine pre mod !

Now then son ...
I have conducted a series of scientific tests on this and here are the results

Open the door with the key beep beep alarm goes off whoop whoop
Open with key and move key into cab and beep beep stops and alarm is switch off

So you don't need to put the key in the ignition just in the cab
Weird sh*t init

Anyway mummy's going to smack your bott bott till its all Hurty :P

Hi does anyone know what the last cable does because on another site they said cut the last two wires which i have done and the only difference is there is no delay with the alarm basically you dont get the 15 seconds its instant which i think is better so it must be a delay trigger wire.

I don't, but that's interesting. I'll see if I can find out.
