Any idea if this is still in the new 2018 facelift models?

Hello, I'vebeen following this long usefull thread and want to fit the socket in the back.
could someone recap where the cable and connector is located/hidden away?
Nearside or offside Front or rear?
the van is fully ply lined so any info. would save me a lot of time
Thanks

I found the cabling at offside rear not covered by ply lining, gave it a very hard tug and the connector appeared. I would never have pulled that hard until reading the previous comments, many thanks for an excellent thread and instructions

Hi
I’ve spoken to my local Transit centre

They don’t have it listed as an accessory .....
Does anyone have a part number?
Thanks in advance

Part Number 1333905
If you search this part number on eBay it brings up about 4 Sellers, the cheapest is £10.95 inc p&p
I can’t take the credit for the part number it was” customal” who posted it some time ago.
I bought it and fitted it, the only problem was that the hole in the steelwork of the van is too small for the diameter of the black plastic housing, I had to file the hole a lot and it was still a very tight fit, I finally clouted it with a hammer in the confined space, I couldn’t get it to press completely home but it’s now wedged in tight enough to use OK.
Since I’ve bought mine I’ve seen cheaper non genuine Ford units on eBay, but for less than £11 you might as well go for the genuine part and you will have no problem.

Just to add my experience with this. I also had the loom connector tucked away. At first I tried a universal "ford" fit 12V socket from Ebay, and removed the LED plastic bit but it just did not fit properly in the recess. I then bought a genuine ford 12V socket and this fits perfectly so not all 12V sockets are created equally!

Hello sieade245
For the benefit of others who might want to do this mod. Can you post the part number that you bought that was a perfect fit.
The one I bought had to be forced into the hole in the panelwork

No problem.

The number is Ford 1333905 and I bought it from here:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/Ford-1333905-A ... 2126289649

That sounds like exactly the same issue I had. I literally had to hammer the first one in and even then, it would pop out when you unplugged something. If you compare them at first they look the same but they are slightly different lengths and thickness.

EDIT: I've just realised this is the same one you bought! I must have bought this after reading your post. Mine went straight in though with a satisfying "click". I didn't have to do any modification to the frame. I think if I can remember correctly though, I removed the plastic bit and fitted it first, then fitted the metal parts (I think).

Hello sieade245
I read your post with interest and out of curiosity I attempted to refit my 12V socket because I was not satisfied with it not being pushed in fully “home”
I prised it out of the hole and removed the black plastic collar, applied petroleum jelly to both pieces and fitted the black collar on it’s own first
It pushed home easily, I then pushed in the metal piece, it too pushed home with a flush fit
Thanks for the tip!
The item doesn’t come with fitting instructions and it may be obvious to others but it wasn’t to me
Perhaps your tip will help others doing the mod.
It seems all Ford part no. 1333905 ARE equal!
