I've got a Custom - L2H2 Limited 170
Jan 2017
I had the Service required flashing up twice (500 miles & 3,000 miles)
I just went on YouTube & saw a clip of how to reset it.
Ford garage told be to book it in as it needed something done to it.
They changed the dipstick to an amended one - changed the oil & filter FOC
Then they are now telling me my van needs to go in and get the engine rebuilt!
Apparently some engines are making a vibrating noise.
Anyone know anything about this ?
I'm going to look into it further with someone high up at Ford.
My van is running perfect at the moment - don't see why it should get rebuild for no reason !

If I was you I’d get it done Ford are not going do a recall if it does not need it if it goes bank in the future they may not do it under warranty and you will foot the bil as you were told about the recall

Friend of mine works in the test lab at the engine plant. Word on the street is that there is a revised head gasket being fitted at the moment due to a high number of gasket failures between pots 2 and 3.

I see Ford have now issued a recall notice for the oil change and reverse light problems, I received mine this morning.
Mine has had both problems since last year but I never got around to getting it booked in, looks like I'll have to get my act together now or they will be on my back. Hopefully there is a fix for the wayward wipers too, I'll also get the security update.

I got my recall notice this morning also. oil change alarm is a real nuisance.
Can I ask you Little Lofty, what is the 'security update'?

Hi David
Back in March 2017 Ford were issuing recalls for timing gear issues where teeth were breaking off the timing gears causing vibration - supposedly al; the vin numbers were being recalled - I'd check yours isn't one of them or yours was missed, failure to comply with the recall will invalidate your warranty and eventually it get worse and your engine will Sh*t itself - good luck Mark Walsh

Hi All

It took a while but Ford have caved in and started issuing [b][u]"urgent recall notices " for Euro 6 transits injector problems it's taken 7 months and probably all of you are outside the 30 day rejection period, so you'll have to give the cowboys the chance to fix it after putting up with their crap underhand useless service - if they try to fix it make sure they replace all 4 injectors and if it fails afterwards ask for all your money back - they knew about this problem for 8 months and didn't issue a recall notice - hopefully none of you have had an accident, but if you have sue the nuts off them as they were aware of the problem and so were vosa who also did nothing - useless government agency.

Good luck

Surely they’ll do what the recall tells them to do, not what the owner tells them to do? Got a link to the recall?

Got it back after two and a half weeks. So Been off the road for just over 5 weeks in ten months of ownership. Ford customer services have given me a free service. don't know how they have the cheek to call it customer services?
While at the dealership somebody attempted to clean it, must have been with a bucket of dirty water and a Brillo pad, absolutely shocking
