Wind deflectors

Postby Wadey » Wed Mar 29, 2017 7:10 pm

Iv got a set of helko wind deflectors iv fitted them as per the instructions and exactly the same as my mk6 but the window won't close it just gets very slow and stops . Has anyone else had this problem or am I doing something wrong??
just follow the onscreen instructions and it's fairly idiot proof...trouble is, we keep producing better idiots

Ive got the Climair ones... the window is very slow anyway and with the deflectors fitted it is even slower! It hasn't stopped yet but it does freeze shut in the colder stuff.

I put some Gummi pfledge on the rubbers and a small squirt of silicon spray on the plastic deflectors (very small smear or it goes everywhere) and they glide fine for about a fortnight before they need doing again... pain in the arse really... may even take them off!

Ive got Climair ones too. The windows aren't very quick but go up and down OK.

I got mine from Ford. I'm pretty sure Climair are the Ford supplied part.

Yes they are a genuine Ford option. That's why I used them. Work well too, first time driving any distance with windows down last week.
