Custom horn interchangeability

Postby Backbone of Britain » Fri Apr 14, 2017 4:55 pm

Anyone know if the horn from a custom is a straight swap to a mk7 and vice versa?

On my custom there's 2 horns, worse case is the electronic connector is different. (Mine is 2 x single horn each with its own connector)

If you get stuck I'll crawl under and take a photo, I'll bet if you eBay search you'll see both types tho

Just had a look on eBay and the custom horn has only one connector and looks the same as the mk7 connector :D .
So if it stays dry over the weekend I may just crawl under the vans and see if I can do a swap.

No mine is 1 horn and 1 connector but it is 2 horns 2 connectors and they are both bolted to the same metal bracket that gets mangled in a crash and loot straightens out and sprays matt black to save a few quid 8)
Although the connectors are a bit broken so sellotape had a part to play.
