Dab sound

Just wondering if anyone else with dab has noticed the treble coming and going?
Sometimes i can here lots of tweet and others it is dull, bit like ears popping the wax

I know it's probably meant to do it  possibly signal strength? Dab1 it is on and I've noticed for a while, although i did experience signal loss or in the sticks but it doesn't lose signal back in town so I'm not sure :?

Maybe update the radio? :P

What happened to the olden days when things just worked or you hit them and the worked again

Well all I can say is that I am glad I didn't pay extra for it as an option. I don't bother with it.

DAB always was, and still is very poor if you travel distances away from home, but seems to work OK if you just travel around in town, or at least, a local area :)

It's just the treble seems to go from low to high and back again, only my keen ear notices it but it can be quite obvious when you listen, no drop in sound or anything just treble :(

Woody is long gone and i now enjoy the sound of the tyres on the road and listening to the radio........ Although the tweeters are being silly buggers, suppose i might aswel stick to the bird theme eh!

The one in billy works purdy well really no uping and downing or coming and going
It either gets a signal and works or say no signal
All or nothing really
Its a lot better than the portable one thats in the back of the arsewash 3000 with a "twig" ont roof
That struggles to get a signal and any interference like the clippers or the table going up and it goes off

Perhaps its your ears ? Next time it does it try sucking a boiled sweet whilst holding your nose and blow with you're mouth shut

The one in my Custom isn't too bad, my BMW 5 series one though is terrible.

I only use them in analogue, DAB is terrible if you cover any distances.

12 D batteries to run that bugger for 30 mins, card board on the market floor for break dancing  I think the fashionable shoulder pads in the '80's were designed to take the weight of that bugger. N

That's odd I've found dab better than the old FM was going up and down the motorway
Just cuts out in the same places FM would go all crackly
Sometime I just switch it off and think about stuff n sh*t ,
