2015 Tourneo Custom parking sensor issue ?

I don't doubt that they do turn off above 15kph or so but they are on when starting and low speed only turned off by the off button and speed over 15kph. There is no option to turn them on via a button you have previously turned them off

Yes we do! Mine is a Jan 2016 vehicle.

Honestly I feel they work really well as they are. If I had to press a button every time I was manoeuvring I wouldn't use them and being able to turn them off if parked up to an object is great as they are back to normal when you start up again. It's like a seat belt indicator. On the jeep I had previously it was a faint flashing red light and I rarely put it on. In the van now your head is wrecked if you dont.

I think the old setup suits me better, i live in a cul de sac and it is like a quad/square parking outside, there's room for 2 cars per house, 1 behind the other (have to organise which of us is leaving in the morning first )
Anyway, i come home and drive durative in behind the wall or the mrs car whichever, no beep .
Next time i leave i get in ignition on (also good for if i want to work on the van etc) put it in reverse and beeeeeeeeepppppppp! And i leave.
If it was on always is have to turn it off more often.

No doubt a pam update may change this?

After 1 week with my new DCIV, my guess is that they are always on, but only below a certain speed - the front ones certainly pick stuff up without going into reverse first.
I originally thought I would have to turn them on manually, but seems not.

I picked up my new Custom Limited this week and to my surprise the front sensors came on at low speed. When queuing in traffic the cyclists and motor bikes that come up the side set them off.
