Damp patch passenger footwell

Postby wizkid2003 » Fri May 12, 2017 9:17 pm

Hi all. I have a 2015 Tourneo Custom 5 weeks and have noticed a very small damp patch in the centre of the passenger footwell. It's not overly bad but I'd like to address it in case it gets outa hand.
Is It possibly coming from the a/c?
I won't use the a/c for the next week or so and go from there.
Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts.

Does your tourneo have roof rack entry points? If so, sealing those up is wise.... they are known to leak.

Take the trim off around the windscreen (A pillar) and see if there is any sign of water damage... particularly important if your screen has ever been replaced.

the heater matrix is a strong candidate for footwell wetness too, but I have no idea how you would check this? Some kind of radweld or similar product is good for sealing pin holes but it also can clog things up....

Is it still under warranty being 2015? Hopefully so.

Good luck finding the culprit.

I had similar but from the centre, it was the A\C drainage pipe blocked\disconnected - coming from the bulkhead
