at docks. customs clearance?

Postby trannydenz » Thu Jul 06, 2017 5:37 pm

Been told by dealer that my van is at the docks and awaiting clearance. It's been at customs 2 weeks today and was wondering what's the average clearance time as 2 weeks seem a bit much to me

I don't know witch docks the van is at but if you driver down the m5 you can see the holding car parks for the imported vehicles and there are normally 1000s of them so I'm assume it's not a very quick process with the amount of vehicles that would be imported a day
just follow the onscreen instructions and it's fairly idiot proof...trouble is, we keep producing better idiots

I thought they landed at Southampton.

I've been told my May order is being delivered some time in September. Not a happy chappy.

Supposedly being built this month.

I dot know wich docks use the one you can see from the m5 I was just using it as an example of how many they need to process i would imagime Southampton would be worse

the storage at the ports is just used as a dumping ground for over produced shitticars that the lizards force us to produce
nothing to do with customs clearance

I get the van Friday. They've cockt up and ordered the 290 instead of the 270 and said it's there mistake so I've saved a few hundred quid. I ordered end of march so 3 months and a bit wait :)
