A new custom from Kent!

Hey all,
Back on the forum again, this time with a new Custom coming in a few weeks (Magnetic 290 L2 130PS)

Are there any other Kent people with a Custom here.... looking at security upgrades straight away when it arrives, can anyone recommend somewhere?

I did have a quote today at £240 for the drivers door lock and £350 for OBD protection!

Shame Ford's own isn't that strong but needs must!

Looking forward to being a Custom owner!

You can fit an upgraded lock yourself, it's not that bad a job, unbolt and hide the OBD port and fit a dummy in its place

Much cheaper that you quote you've had, so you could spend that money on a decent alarm system

Thanks buddy, I was considering it but worried that being new they may be funny with the warranty if I self fit?

I can't see how they could complain about an upgraded door lock, unless it creates problems with the locking of the van under warranty (unlikely unless you bodge the fitting)
Refit the OBD port whenever it goes in for any work, and they'll never know


I've rarely had good experiences from warranties, so I must admit to not thinking about them too much
