Just bought 2014 custom and it appears to be restricted at about 68-70, can I turn this off with ids? Think I did it on the mk7s we had before, it's ids v86

some had a switchable limiter on them. if yours has it it will be the stop/start eco button but it resets every time with the ignition going off

Then the speed limiter is programmed by Ford (or the dealer). Let them programm it out of the ECU for you.

Yes you will need it changing in the ECU. Is it the 100 ps econetic version? I think a lot of them are restricted.
You can also look at getting it remapped to free up some much needed extra power (if it the 100). Look at vantuner threads on here, well worth contacting him or indeed any mapper..... they will be able to remove the speed limiter.
