Would appear this doesn't apply to the DCIV - nothing listed on ETIS.
I wasn't sure from having it described if it would or not

Is there a time limit on getting this done? I was hoping to leave it until November to get the MOT and service done at the same time

Had an attempted break in earlier this week.
theives seen on cctv looking around mine.
only know they attempted my van as they managed to get into neighbours van.
his being an euro 6 mine, a euro 5.
mine also has deadlocks and hikey.
no signs of breakin on his van.
strange thing is when looking round mine they paid alot of attention to front bumper area.
I thought the break in target was the door locks?
have the scum now found a new way in?
ps
also had security update by ford yesterday

If you have the hykey lock then the only way they can clone a key is from the bonnet release barrel I guess.... or the rear door. May explain the front bumper interest?

I've got it booked in for the update on Tuesday. It's just come back from the body shop when I've had the lock removed and plated over after some arsehole ripped the lock out to break in. As far as I can see the update disables the full unlocking from the key, which I now don't have, and the buttons on the door of you don't have the key to cycle the ignition. Does anyone know if the obd port is disabled unless the original key is present too?

So if you've no lock :?
And after the update the doors won't open with the buttons inside the door :?
How do you get in when your fob stops working?

Someone will just use a code grabber and pinch it anyway lock or no lock :)
