LED Grill mounted spots lamps

Postby stchris356 » Sat Sep 30, 2017 9:13 pm

Has anyone fitted the above?
Or I was thinking of changing the DRL's as I've noticed in daylight when flashing people in etc, they struggle to make out the main beam over the DRL!

Go for the osram replacement fogs with DRL, they look great and the DRL's really stand out plus you get LED fogs, they also have a function so when the indicator is on at night the DRL comes on for that side to add more light and flash when you put the hazards on

I have the same as shire.... I disconnected my headlamp oem DRL though as they are yellow and look terrible in comparison to the LED. Can recommend them highly. The LED fogs are also way better than the oem.

That's a good idea bud, is it easy to do then with the main beam being within the same bulb?

Bet most people just think we're running around with fogs on then mind

Without asking whoever you flashed, how do you know they couldn't see you flashing them over the DRL ?
They might of thought what the Fook is he flashing at and ignored you ?
That's what I do when someone flashes at me
Unless its a long raincoat job

Any excuse to start messing with your vans you lot

Haha..yes JT.

Yes it’s really easy to disable the DRL. Open the headlight, disconnect the blue wire. I also went for the “off when headlight on” option as everyone thinks you are a “fog light w@nker” (mikes very correct words) if you run with both on :D

The full beam works as usual, the blue is just the crappy yellow DRL. No canbus so no warnings for bulb failure etc.

The dimming function was so negligible that it looked no different to my eye.

They definitely look like DRL and not fogs when they are on on their own..... with everything on I kept getting flashed.

Pop LEDFOG101 osram into amazon..... they were the cheapest at the time I bought mine.... they are just under 200 atm.. eBay is all over 240. Can be found at 180 with a bit of looking around.
