unfortunately none of the cheap options will give a Full charge to your leisure battery, It's been covered a few times, Sterling make a 12v to 12v charger that will work 100% the manufacturer have a video and explain how it works and also why normal methods won't. I gave up and fitted a solar panel to the roof it works really well and keeps the leisure battery topped up, mine is used to charge tools etc and to run test equipment, not camping.

Just fitted a Ctek d250SA and leisure battery works with the smart charge system and is very easy to install

Sorry to sound dim but if I fit the CTEK D250SA , can I still charge from site mains electrics and could I fit a standard Zig type consumer unit ? This would be the best of all worlds for me as wee like to spend time on sites but also wild camping
I will be fitting a solar panel and two probably leisure batteries
As you can tell I will not be fitting this myself :?
