Interesting to see what other people spend.

I like the look of the bigger 18" wheels / tyres on the sport van & aftermarket wheels, but it really hammers the tyre wear!
I've just done 10k in mine on standard 16" alloys & the tyres pretty much look like new.

Although most of the time the van only has me and my mountain bike in it - I guess having it heavily laden will make a big difference too

Yes, the 16's are a big difference. I'm just about to change the fronts on mine for the first time, they've done 52,500 miles. The rears look like new still. A friend with a transporter, I know, he shouldn't be a friend, was advised to go for 20" rims instead of 18's as there was a better range of decent load rated tyres available for them.
