I like the smaller size of the Custom, very similar to a Mk1 or Mk2. The "2 ton" full size Transit is too big for my needs. I drove a friends Custom the other day, and think it would be quite good as a daily driver, as well as a work vehicle! And as brains alluded to, it is the better looking van of the pair!
Incidentally, the US market has the 3.5 EB engine as an option on the Mk8 full size van. 310hp and 0-60 in 6.8 seconds - not bad for a big van!
