Half of Quick-clear Windscreen faulty

Postby BNObournemouth » Sun Nov 19, 2017 3:23 pm

Hi there guys,

Discovered that last night, pressing my quick-clear windscreen button only the passenger side of the heating matrix is working. Does the quick-clear have two fuses do we know? Or could this be a fault somewhere else?

Yes, two separate power circuits plus a control circuit. According to my Owner's Manual (2013), the two main fuses are located in the passenger compartment fuse box (below steering wheel), numbers 52 and 53, both 40A.

More likely to be the supply or chassis connection to the relevant side.

I posted some pictures some time ago, the top power connection had melted, easy fix no problems since then. Will try and find it
