I have a nice big one thank you kindly. 170 by all accounts. It's grown somewhat since my early days of the 125 and the previous tramp's van.

Perhaps it piddles the adblue down its hind wheels?

Bloody Ford.

What is one to do?

You feel the regen more then you can hear it when you drive.
Less power over all and a higher consumption.

If you walk behind the van while regen you can hear that the exhaust is a little bit louder (mine goes all the way to the back).

Hi. I'm bringing up this thread, seems a good place and I don't think I need to open a new discussion.

I have a 170ps Tourneo since few weeks, drove about 2000 km (1200 miles) on it, and I have never detected a regen. I drive 60% on extra urban roads, 30% along highways, and the rest in the city (only at the beginning or end of longer trips).I guess I should have already done 4 regens, undetected.

Maybe I don't feel the little underpower due to regen because the engine have more horse power that what I need most of the time, so this synthom. Maybe I don't pay enough attention to regen sound (also because I'm not trained, it's my first diesel car). So, I'm keeping an eye on the instantaneous fuel consumption. So far I haven't noticed anything strange. What values should I expect during regen? Any other symptoms I can look for?

Don’t worry about it, they regen when needed, rather than to a fixed schedule, mine have hardly ever done noticeable regens.

I can honestly say I've never noticed my 155ps 65 plate regen on the 83k miles I've driven in it.
It is a lwb, converted to a double cab, with a full length exhaust so maybe that's why. Or I'm just deaf?!

You would have thought they’d be a light come on the dash or in the display to tell you it was doing a regen so you could let it finish before turning it off

Thanks for the replies.

By default, I think nothing blinks on the Custom.

I found out on the Italian Ford forum that on some cars the heating of side mirrors is automatically activeted during regens. The stock light of the heating button on the dash does not light, but they could easilly wire a led to one mirror, and got a working regen indicator. It's reported to be working on some Focus, but unfortunately does not work on ALL of them

Heated windscreen comes on when the Custom does a regen.

Sorry, I'm lost with the translation. What's the "windscreen"? The big front glass?
