Auto relock after 45sek - how to disable

Postby relu01 » Mon Dec 25, 2017 11:58 pm

Hi,
I have new (2017) Custom 2.0 170HP L2H1 and I would like to disable the auto re-lock feature (when unlocking the car and not opening the doors within 45seconds it will relock).

Any ideas?

Tnx

2 possible options.
Look in speedo trip settings there's a locks option in convenience, no idea what it allows tho but if not here then it is dealers and Ford ids config.

There are quite a few locks config options but the auto lock might or might not be a permanent feature?.

I’m an interested in this too. I want to use my Ford custom limited ad a camper and I’m terrified I’ll lock my keys in there.
It’s got a complicated locking and alarm system. I have worked most things out but not this one. Also trying to turn cargo lights s off so I can have back door open for a long time. Looks like I need to add a switch or Dixon etc the wires. Any other thoughts.
Thank you.

I'm not sure how you could :?
You would have to be holding the keys to unlock it in the first place, and once you open the door to put the keys inside, it won't re-lock :)

If you're worried, have an ordinary non-chipped key cut and keep it secreted on the van somewhere, or just in your pocket

Your cargo lights should turn themselves off automatically after a certain period of time. Can’t remember how long it is exactly - but I often work out of the back of my van and they switch themselves off. It feels like 20 minutes or so. I’ve certainly never had any issues with flat batteries or anything like that. Hope that helps

As said, everything will power down after about 20mins, less if the battery is low. The problem is when the door is repeatedly opened and closed, which powers up a few electrical systems, not just the lights.

I see this option when i was changing some bits in Forscan on my van the other day. You’ll need the lead and extended license which is easy to get
