Custom alarm

I have both a 2015 and 2017 limited custom

I can fully lock both vans

When I go back to open via key entry the 2015 model opens, beeps for 30 seconds then alarm goes off

2017 model does nothing I can get in and sit there for minutes and start van

How can a newer same spec model be so poor

Probability because you didn't pay the extra for the cat 1 alarm on the newer van

I am under the impression both will have thatcham cat 1 alarms as both limited models and shows on spec sheet

Interior light with little sensor things on both ?

2015 has a red light flash on the dash wen locked, new 1 nothing

If I lock van while in it and wait a while alarm goes off on the new 1 so there is 1 on it

2015 has red flashing light

2017 The lock light is illuminated on the centre panel

So what's faulty the new or old van?

You unlock the van the alarm deactivates, you lock the van the alarm activates. N

Both vans locked with fob, if I then open with key through door the old van alarm alerts to entry a warning then seconds latter go off and will only cut out on ignition start

I presume if someone picked lock this is how it should be

The new van does not do this alarm, just carry on as normal so of someone used say a tibbee key then new van would be an easy break in

That's to do with the lock buttons n back doors n sh*t

My back doors are quite slack since I've lubed them up
Don't think I'll be having that update
