Does anyone know of an upgrade for the headlights without fitting an hid kit ? Disappointed with dip and main beam tbh ...

might be being a bit thick but is it the H7 bulb in both dip and main beam? Can't seem to find what the main beam bulb is

H7 is dip, main is an H15

I take it you can't uprate the main beam then seeing as I can't find an H15 bulb from the likes of Osram etc?

Correct. TBH if your lights are so bad that you need more than Osram +150%, you might want to get the alignment checked. Custom lights are perfectly adequate for a van, especially with decent bulbs in the dip beam.

I would not agreed on my van were terrible until i changed to hids i have them on now as im doing some upgrades to my hids and is like candles for me to have any light on the road i have to lower them all the way down but then no light further away.It might be projectors but when im next to base model my lights are like candles compared to base.

But it probably won’t give more light output than the standard H15.

Edit: Yep, even Osram quote it as 40 lumens less than their standard H15.

I'm running these MTEC bulbs in dipped, dlr/main, fog & corner lights on my sport, they run much whiter than std bulbs, seem to give a decent pattern In each position and only draw 1/2amp more than the std bulbs. I bought the 100w H7s for the dipped just to try but they draw near 6 amps and the control unit switches them off pretty much as they turn on.
