Custom towing eye

I needed towing out of snow drift yesterday and could not find the front towing eye screw anywhere. I checked the toolkit on drivers side where jack and brace is, under passenger seat and under bonnet. Anybody any idea?

Is under bonnet just next to wipers fluid compartment (stuck on wheel arch on driver side from in uk model).At least is there in mine is black so it might be difficult to spot at night without proper light.
