Help needed.

Postby slikt » Wed May 02, 2018 9:22 pm

So I am in the process of trying to get my warranty company to pay for some engine work on my 2013 sport.61k.

Question is, would you say that the flywheel on these is a clutch component? I know this may sound like a daft question but I’m getting different reply’s from people and seeing as my van is having a new gearbox, clutch and flywheel, I’d like the warranty company to pay out for 2 out of 3 if possible, I know the clutch will be wear and tear.
Cheers

I would class it as part of the clutch system, especially dual mass flywheel as they do have a service life and if left, they can and do cause damage if they sheer off or lock etc.

If they flat refuse the dmf then I'd buy 1 anyway, they should be good for around 150k or more under normal driving conditions.
