Usb in the storage compartment

Postby Thequeenscheese » Sat Jun 30, 2018 10:18 pm

Can I utilise the sub as aux in for an ssd drive/ sub flash drive etc?, I used to do this in my mk7 with the aftermarket head unit.. If not what will plug in there to utilise large storage for my tunes?..

Cheers

Cool so it should work then assuming my ssd isn't to big of a capacity for the unit to understand etc.., does your music have all,the correct tags files associated with mp3's etc ( I know mine don't that's why google play doesn't like them forget what they are called now) google play for eg doesn't like them without the info files..

Nope doesn't like it, says no device connected, I'll have to try a flash drive, what size are you using?, and how are your files stored on the? Files for each album etc?

I use a cheap and cheerful 8Gb Flash Drive. Copied and pasted the files straight out of the iTunes folder on the lappy

Someone on fb says I may not have pressed the button enough times, but I'm thinking maybe my ssd is too big tbh..

I had a 64GB memory stick in mine and it played everything on there no problem, MP3s, audiobooks & podcasts. I didn't try FLACs though...

I'll get one of those I think as today it just said usb initializing for around 20 mins so I'm guessing my ssd is too big

Your ssd might be pulling too much power from the USB socket?!

Could be, although I'd imagine that is a standard across car stereos, and it worked fine in my mk7 android system, I'll pick a flash drive up at some point..
