aircon blowing warm, not gas issue.

Postby stchris356 » Fri Jul 06, 2018 2:31 pm

Good old AC,
2016 Custom, had a new alternator fitted under warranty, since then the A/C blows warm, checked fuses under bonnet, ok
Allen Ford tried to fix it but couldn't.
Have had A/C checked out by independent AC specialist who advised it's not a gas issue, the independently bypassed the compressor control and it functions normally.

It looks like an electrical/command issue, has anyone come across this before?

TIA Chris

Maybe the wiring to the compressor is not connected.

Check all the wiring and connectors under the bonnet are secure, it's not unknown for plugs to have been undone to do a job and not correctly connected.. Another thought could be, if the battery has been disconnected then the system may need resetting... I have had this issue with Renault cars that have had a flat battery, the aircon won't switch on and you have to go rooting round in an engine control sub system.. Just a thought.
