Bonnet

Hi, new to the forum. I have tried searching but not had much luck so my apologies if this has already been a topic. I have a 64 plate custom. The spring on the bonnet catch has decided to twang off and now my key won’t open the bonnet. I have tried looking from underneath but can’t see the mechanism. There seems to be a panel in the way. Does anyone have any idea how I can get the bonnet open?
