Anyone looked into what you need to retrofit adaptive cruise control?

From what I understand theres a Radar unit and a camera both mounted at the front somewhere. Possibly other kit required to, but id reckon the hardest part is getting the canbus software upgraded to recognise the new add ons.

Loot has been looking into it for his Custom, so he'll be the boy to ask.

Basically, as said, there is a radar unit mounted on the front which is mega expensive to buy, (although it's not specific to the Custom) You will need that radar, and the adaptive cruise controls, which are possibly specific to the Custom. Wiring and programming will be your next challenge

I'm interested in that too. Someone did retrofit ACC for Mondeo and also I can find it for Focus: https://talkford.com/community/topic/31 ... _3j81c8mP8

It does need:
- steering wheel buttons
- radar
- module

When I started to look for these I failed on the first item  could not find ACC buttons for custom

Even the clutch master is different on an ACC vehicle, it contains yet another clutch switch :!: :P
