Warranty

Postby Marcus123 » Fri Aug 03, 2018 11:58 am

Hi all,

Having a transit custom limited delivered tomorrow, its a 2014 with 41K, is it worth extending the 3 months warranty that comes with the van or should all the major problems have been sorted by this stage so don't bother ??

Hi
I've recently bought a well looked after 14 plate limited with 132000k with FSH and I had the same thought but didn't bother. So far I'm really pleased with it. I wont be clocking massive amounts of miles on it as i am get it converted to a camper so it didn't bother me going for one with so many miles on it. Its always a gamble buying second hand but if it gives you peace of mind go ahead and do it.

Seems fair enough, just didn't know if theres any major issues with these vans. I'm well versed in E46 M3s ( now ) and have had to sort out all the usual problems those throw up with mine so was wondering if theres any common failures with the custom model that might warrant paying out for protection in the long run :)

Thanks for the replies, good to know theres no common faults to look out for.

Might put a pic up when I've got the van but it is frozen white and from what I've heard thats not a popular choice ( not that I had a choice )

:D Don't knock having a white van, apart from tar spots they are easy to look after. Mine is panther black and its a fu***** nightmare to look after. Always said after having a black car I wouldn't have black again. :D
