I’d read the comment about the A/C position “dial” being set to windscreen on an earlier thread, so I turned it fully anti-clockwise to “in your face” and it still does it.
It’s an intermittent fault, it went days without doing it, but did it again this afternoon, I hope the Ford Diagnostic Kit can recognise it.
Surely the Ford Service Rep. would know if it was as simple as turning off the A/C to cure it and not incur a lot of cost in having the van collected and returned?
I agree with the earlier post that belt driven fans rotated all the time but there was usually a temperature sensitive coupling that reduced the cooling effect of it was cold.
Electric fans are operated off a thermostat, the idea is that they don’t operate if the engine is cold.
I got off lightly with the comment from bigjohnthomas, he usually uses more acidic witticisms.
