Larger profile tyre on 20 inch rim

Hi as above
New shape custom ltd lwb Dciv has come with 20inch alloys 255 35 20 tyres
(I wanted a standard van with 16 inch but daughter liked the look of the q sport)
My daughter uses it and has kerb the alloys twice in 3 weeks can I put a larger profile tyre on
ie 45 profile it would be cheaper than keep repairing alloys
Or narrower tyre and higher profile
Van is not lowered ride is pretty good

If you put 255/45 tyres on, then you have a different mileage. 255/35 has a Tyre height of 255x.35=89.25 and 255/45 = 114.75. The wheel circumference will increase!

Not sure if you would have to go 235 45 20 . I know that when i ordered my 20,s my tyre choices were 245 40 20 or 255 35 20. I ended going with the latter as they are cheaper to replace . I dont let my wife drive it so i have no kerbing marks as yet , long may it continue.
I would imagine 45 height wont make much difference
