We need a van asap...

Postby novanatasha » Tue Aug 28, 2007 2:57 pm

We are moving to Europe and need a Transit van to hold all our possessions. I reckon we need about 8 cubic metres to get everything in, or possibly slightly less. (I'm finding it really difficult to estimate the size of van we need, though.)

In the interests of economy, we're looking for a diesel with a couple of months MOT and tax. Nothing fancy - but cheap would be good!

We're staying in Essex, near Southend, at the moment and need a van asap. Can anyone help us out?

http://www.fordtransit.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19172, this is a SWB
although the seller lives near to Colchester, if and only if you can reach a deal AND do it on Sunday afternoon I would be willingly to drop DJSwampy back home.

This is a better view of the van, to give you some clue as to it's size and appearance...not that you seem concerned as you only need it for the one job.

Thanks MarkM.
You're quite right that the appearance doesn't matter and this price is in the right range - and Sunday is a good time-scale, but I think this one is probably too small for our needs.

We were out and about today taking a look at vans and we think we need a LWB high top.

Also, we've revised the required capacity to 6 or 7 cubic metres, but there is no point in buying too small a vehicle as we're going a long way and don't really want to have to make two trips.
