A bit more than what you wanted to pay, but at least it looks "clean" and the arches aren't falling off :!:

what you hadnt spotted was it was on ebay from some one else as a classified add £950 with best offer but at that time it didnt have automatic in the heading it only said automatic in the list so any one looking on ebay if they typed in transit automatic they wouldnt of found it? it just said transit turbo? i was watching it it was sold by the next day and put back on a few days later as transit automatic? by the new owner? for £1895, twice the price? so it now been on ebay 3 times once by the original owner and now twice by the current owner

makes me realise how lucky i was to get mine for £750 looking at the price of them  As said tho don't discount one with windows as mine has windows and i've just ply lined the back as i use it for work. Also you get cheaper toll charges :D . Good luck with your search buddy. They are out there for that sort of money they will just need a little bit of work, but at least you know its been done properly that way :)

Hi there

Andy G!! that orange thing is not low miles!!!! well not compared to my van!!!

I am in the middle of doing up my 52000 mile transit turbo automatic, it's a great van and drives like new, it just looks scruffy, I would not normally consider selling it because it's by far the best i'm ever going to find, but I really need cash at the moment, I have been offered another transit from a member of this site that has already had all the work done that i'm doing to mine, it's a lot more money but in the end it's been done and it's what i'm aiming for with mine,
These transits are like hens teeth in auto with under 100k,
mine has the best diff, the powerful turbo engine and 4 speed autobox
It was owned by glaxosmithkline before me so never wanted for anything, although I have no history you can tell it's been cared for mechanically,
I had the oils and filters all done in engine and gearbox just to be sure, also it's got a brand new steering rack. I went to have the cambelt replaced but when they opened it up they found out it was a new one on it! so it's been looked after,
I'd value it at more than the blue or orange ones in this thread as it drives so well, if you were to find a bit more cash I think I might part with it to buy the one i have been offered,
I promise you won't find a lower mileage better one than this one, if you want the best auto transit lwb sht then you'll have to buy mine! I'm doing all the bodywork etc so the more i do the higher the price! underneath it's solid, it's just the body is scabby, but I have already welded new wing and arch in, I have new rear ones ready to fit,
seats are removed at the mo, but can easily all be put back, I just did it as going to carpet the cab,
but I honestly don't think 1000 will buy you a half decent auto, I am constantly looking and even the rubbish high milers go for over 1k the only ones you see for under a grand have no reverse or some other huge problem!
thanks for reading mate,
Richie B
I love automatic transits,,, well not the mk 6 durashit
