swap your auto transit mpv or van for my range rover

Postby Richieintransit » Sun Jun 10, 2012 7:21 pm

I'm looking for a transit auto minibus or 7-9 seater automatic vehicle or a decent auto transit, anything considered but I want diesel ideally
range rover is a 4.6 hse, auto, low mileage, mot dec tax end of june,
I have recently done these items
23/11/2011 had becm reconditioned, replaced front air bag as slight leak and all set up and checked for faults, none found,
25/11/2011 new radiator fitted (due to slight leak) cooling system flushed and 50% mix coolant added @109,646 miles
03/12/2011 mot passed first time 109,650 miles
15/3/2012 Changed water pump, new oil and filter 10w40 semi synthetic, air filter, surpentine belt flushed and renewed coolant 50% mixture 110,080 miles
16/3/2012 High performance ht leads and new spark plugs fitted 110,080 miles
22/4/2012 New half shaft oil seal on right rear hub, renewed rear diff oil
The car is now on just 110700 and drives brilliantly, no overheating issues, may take px of automatic,
Lpg system needs ecu, there is a full 95 litre tank in the boot, I have been quoted 500 pounds to get the system fixed tuned surviced and running as it should, I just have not got the cash to get it done, this of course would be cheaper if done yourself, I just don't have the knowledge or skills to do this, it has the expensive reliable matrix injectors,
number plate valued at 1000 pounds plus,
Mondial wheels, pirelli tyres,
grey leather seats,
a lovely car all working,
faults,,,, srs light comes and goes, not sure why, some marks in paint, worst pictred,
px automatic

Hi Barry, I can't get tax till i have the van and all the papers, insurance not a problem as I can just put the van on my policy it's just the tax that worries me I don't like driving anything unless it's totally legal as the police like to pull me and waste my time due to the way I drive, I don't mind driving in my area as they know me but any strange places is an instant pull because i have my foot on the steering, I'm fed up with it. I know people always drive with no tax but I would get caught and fined, just my luck, I can give you £50 to bring it down, do the swap and take the rangey back with you if that's any help,?
thanks

Don' bother then......

I've had all this before with you....

Your car is only worth £1500 and I wouldn't be seen dead

driving around with that stupid registration anyway...

there is no need to get like that, I have legit reasons clearly explained as to why I can't drive up there, I have offered you extra for delivery, I don't know where you are and I am not confident enough to drive your van home from there as it's not allowed to go in the lez area and I don't know the area well enough to avoid it, the range rover however being registered lpg can go anywhere in london for free, it's worth 2500 of anyones money and I was even offered 2300 from a trader in px on a skyline, now that the lez zone is in place yours has dropped in value in your area, you were willing to deliver it for 2500 before and I don't see what's changed apart from the fact that if we swap you'll be having a much better drive home and legally as mine is taxed, as I said I have no trade plates but I believe you do, I do not like breaking the law so it makes sense for me to take the legal option and pay you to deliver it legally for 50 or 100 pounds, you get a nice rangey that is worth more in your area as it's lez and congestion zone exempt so will sell well in that area, and I get your van that I can use around here, it does make sense, but you obviously don't understand why I can't do it, yes I can do many things people would not believe but there are limits to what I can do and its mainly due to peoples attitude towards me that sometimes holds me back, hense the fact I have never been given a chance of a job, I'm not a messer I just like things to all be above board and legal and I would never send a large sum of money through paypal to someone I do not know as I'm sure you wouldn't, I don't understand why you want to swap if you think yours is worth 2500 and mine only 1500 anyway, but I know mine is worth more than that as I had it on ebay last week and had bids up to 2000 but the bids did not reach the reserve so I know even on ebay which is generally trade price it's worth 2k if I wanted to take such a low sum,
But I'd much rather have a decent transit as I love them, not comfortable, slow as hell, noisy rust heaps but I love them and I really want a nice one that will last me years,,
that number plate may be stupid to you but my stepfather loved it and I'm sure any other f1 fan called graham would, his passing was a very sad time for me and I'm very reluctant to get rid of his pride and joy after he left it to me I've spent a fortune on restoring it in his honour but we are expecting another baby in november and I find the tailgate awkward to open on the rangey and the baby seats are awkward to get in behind me as I have my seat right back, so it's time to move on and I just love transits I just find they are ideal for me to drive and I can get things in and out of one easier than a car, I don't even need to fold the pushchair I just put it in! little things like that make my life easier,
Thank you for getting my hopes up again!!!
not to worry hopefully someone else on here has an auto and wants a range rover,, it's been a godsend today in all these floods I have been the only one in the village going out, picking people up as the busses are not running etc, the best 4x4 by far!

What a load of crap....

My van is LEZ Compliant and I live outside the zone anyway.

I would NEVER take PayPal either.

I DO NOT have Trade Plates and are not asking you to

"Break the Law"....There is a Post Office less than 1 mile from me.

Why would you want to go into London on your way home?

I've got 2 Discoverys, both on LPG and both newer than your

Range Rover....

Neither of them are "Congestion Zone exempt" so Christ knows

what you're on about there too!

It seems you are a Dreamer without the money...

Yeah Richie sent me the link, pretty impressive I think.

Kudos to anyone that has overcome something like that.
