Postby trannydenz » Thu Nov 22, 2012 7:20 pm

hi guys, sold my transit roll on skip truck and am now looking for a sportvan to do up into a campervan, i can buy one local, 2008 panther black 43000 miles for £9750 but doesnt have full service history and have a niggly feeling something telling me not to go for it.....i'm after about 07-10 plate, must have full service history and good engine, not bothered about bodywork, any help finding one greatly appreciated :) :) :)

thanks Mike, thats the van i'm talking about, i'm meant to be looking at it friday but think i'm taking a risk buying without full service history, apparantly they never kept up with the service schedule so have nothing to back the mileage up, still...its very tempting!! just thought i'd ask on here first :)

Best avoided imo, if it hasn't had dealer services then it almost certainly hasn't had the updates, the buyer of my 2008 van found out about that the hard way.

cheers, i think i might give it a miss, didnt you have the updates done on the van you sold then as he said the van drives perfect and ticks over perfect or does the engine just go bang all of a sudden if no updates done????

Yeah, I had it serviced and updated as it should be, the guy who bought it 'saved' money having it serviced at a mates garage
