Best you leave it to him :!: If he feels the crossmember needs to come off and it makes it easier, tell him it's up to him :idea:

The box level is normally checked when warm/hot (preferably after a run) and you select all positions 3 times, pausing for a second in each, ending in P and checking level immediately after and all while the engine is still running :!:

Torque setting for the sump bolts is 14Nm (10 lbf.ft) And normally go round them two or three times :)

But then, who are you to tell somebody that's supposed to know how to do his job :?: :lol:

hiya
just got it back he put in 5 litres and gave me the last litre, seems to think it's ok but obviously he didn't do the proper procedure for level as he just drove it down the road!
should I put the last bottle in ? don't know what to do as i don't want to overfill but don't want it running low, i'm disabled so tricky for me to check level, what is cold on the dipstick for??

cost me 200 quid but needed doing, and i got the engine oil done too

one would presume if your dipstick has a cold mark on it that is to tell you what the level should be when engine is cold as all the oil has drained to the bottom .
