You may be right for the majority of owners, but people who want to customise a smiley won't be bothered by that price. £150 a wheel isn't expensive for a new, quality alloy wheel IMO :)

Looking at sevral of your posts on the forum you seem to come across as a very negative person

may seem negative to u, but in my opinion u cant polish a turd so unless someone has got a decent, worth keeping mk5 then they are going to be more worried about spending £600 (without tyres) on the body panels and welding!! just my opinion

I'm interested don't forget transit motor homes are still a lot of money!

I just paid £14000 for a 1999 6 berth Chausson. The van has only done 50,000 miles and is in mint condition.

It had most factory extras including air conditioning, heated and electric mirrors, it still has a dash cup holder, and even the steering wheel hasn't been worn smooth!

I like the idea of getting rid of the plastic wheel trims appeals to me!

I would like them to look as nice as possible with wheel centres and we need to know if they need specific wheel nuts too?

The company in china that does them have been a bit slow with getting back to my questions but think this is due to the chinese new year which they celebrate for around 15days. Im still on to it but may be a while till we know the full details weight/shipping etc 8)

They're having you on  Chinese new year isn't until Feb 10th, but it does go on for 10 days

From my knowledge of importing, they're always slow and awkward to deal with, unless of course, you're a big player  :P

Hi,
Wheels look good but the price seems very high for source; from my experience buying from China I'd expect the purchase price from China to be something in the region of 1/4 the expected UK sale price...if it's not, try searching for the actual manufacturer rather than the many thousands of students and budding young entrepreneurs acting as middle men trying to get a cut from us pie eyed westerners :D As for duty, if there's one set they send as a gift or sample
I paid around £35 for items that sell in the UK for £245, I know it sounds too good to be true but there's a reason so many items are imported from China...money!
I bought my items for personal use.
Good luck, I hope you can get them cheaper.
Regards

If you are adamant about importing from China, check your supplier and ask if he can either source (unlikely) or ship through Hong Kong.
As H.K. was a former British Colony they had very good concessionary shipping rates it was known as Cabotage although I don't suppose it remains the same since the colony changed hands but some concessions still apply.Take a look at Ebay and you will see a very high percentage of goods made in China exit the country via H.K.because some of these concessions still apply.
