Is the power steering kit still available?
Wanted for SWB 1988 IFS rack & pinion 100 (VE6 1986/91 model).
Originally a 2.5di now converted to 2l pinto.
I have seen a pinto pulley/adjuster bracket elsewhere, and understand that the track rods will differ.
I have not seen one of these in situ yet assume that I will need to change the crank pulley to
accomodate two drive belts; the original alternator/water pump and the additional steering pump.
Any assistance you can offer by way of info to aid sale would be much appreciated. Cheers

Hi,

It is still avaliable - but this is a 2.di kit.

I don't know much about fitting it to a pinto, but I know DieselHead123 (Tim from Light Commercial Services) on here manufacturers brackets to bolt the 2.5di power steering pump to the pinto and could advise about the front pulley.

You would definately need to change the track-rod ends to mk3 items.

Sold to me please as Dieselhead has come thro and will supply me with bracket, double crank pulley drive and advice on belt size and fitting advice.
I can pay via paypal now or, cash on the day.
I am a newbie and have just completed purchase of two rear door heated glasses off camperman, so not a time waster.
I can pm my mobile or walk round at Billing with a carnation in my buttonhole and a copy of the FT under my arm for recognition purposes.
Cheers

excellent - cash on the day would be fine :)

I'm quite well known so if you ask random people who I am you will eventually get to me!

I am likely to be in a Mk5 (smiley) swb low roof with a big back bumper, parked next to dieselhead (dark green tourneo with an inlet in to the bonnet) and Mealic (silver mk6 with bull bars, sun visor, black stipes and alloys)

Unless its Sunday when I will be parked on the rally field, probably running around with a high viz on!
