I've havn't pulled my imv out yet  So don't know about that, the manifold generally doesn't as the gaskets are a soft rubber type  Remove them from the manifold though prior to cleaning. As for gadgets I use every job as a excuse to buy more gadgets

the imv is a straight swap I think and it has an o ring which comes on the new 1, the other gaskets are blue rubber seals which I have found reusable after a little wash, the boss has a new set there that I didn't use as they came after I did the job lol he even bought a new inlet manifold after seeing the gunk in the old 1,I did offer to clean it out, didn't find out how much it was tho :(

I've already stripped it down Blue just not refitted it as I ran out of time :( My inlet manifold was only slightly gooed up but odd as it was dry so only needed a little scrape then the rest shook out like powder

Does the inlet require a new gasket each time it's cleaned ?

ok so i got the imv out and the manifold wasn't as bad a the one in the pic. but needs a little clean. :)

so ive ordered of "shebaying" imv £95 and the prv was £55 and new inlet gaskets £25. even lo the old ones don't look perished. new is always better :!:

just to let people know in the future. this was not a hard job and i love that the inlet manifold bolts stay on the manifold so u don't have to worry about

dropping them. nice one ford.

will have to white till parts come in the week and then i will book the ids in at ford  thanks again people of the transit :D
ill update soon as......
