Mates connect has bottom left fault light on dash on had codes read comes up say Egr fault been told it colud be this part bolted on to inlet manifold between soleniod what is it and where is best place to get one cheers Gary

Van starts ok drives ok most of the time just holds back now and again

That part is the EGR motor assembly with position sensor :wink:
Secured to inlet manifold with 4 screws.

Post the code, it maybe faulty or possible EGR valve possibly sticking abit :?:

The position sensor is inside where the control motor is, its all one part

The black plastic part is the motor & position sensor end cap + the internal electrical connections

You cant find it listed cause it sold complete with manifold, check these part numbers out:

Ford Part Numbers - 1563296 / 4M5Q 9424 CD

Im not saying they are 100% correct for your vehicle but it'll give you an idea

The EGR position sensor in the Black end cap - see below :wink:

These are not available separately - Ford retails them as a complete unit with manifold :(
Be careful on which inlet manilfold you get there are 2 types available (One has a throttle position sensor & the other doesn't) :wink:

Although when buying the complete manifold with EGR assembly New they are very expensive (£400 +)

Here is a list where you can get a complete EGR motor assembly from. - The same part is used on Focus / C-max / Mondeo mk4

Thanks for the replys .l have ordered the top one in your links to eBay Paul thanks for that can I buy the gasket that goes between the egr & manifold or can I just smear a little gasket sealer on my gasket cheers Gary
