Fuses!

Postby daztheracer » Wed Feb 21, 2007 9:35 pm

Hi Guys,
It's my first post on here... :D

Can anyone tell me which fuse is responsible for the cigarette lighter on my 2001 Mk6 Transit?

Thanks
Daz

Hi, just changed mine,it`s in the fuse box under the tray above the glove box, think it was the 3rd row from left to right,2nd fuse down.

hello

i do not have a mark6 but it is the fuse box cover not numbered to reflect the fuse box you are looking at?
Nearly every car/van i have driven has this method of diagram failing that does your manual not tell you.
having said that failing all that someone here will tell you, so have patience and no doubt the answer will come. :D

Mark5 fuse box under steering wheel, fuse foe cig lighter.

Thanks for the replies

I don't have the Handbook, that's why I asked the question

Has anyone bought a TIS disc off ebay? I was looking at them the other day but couldn't work out if they covered Mk6 Transits

... I bought a TIS last week, on the bay that doesn't sleep, it cost a total of £4.50 with postage, worked ok, I was a bit naive to think it only covered my MK6, but was supprised to see it covered much more than that, - (many other ford models).

I will give copying it a go, if they work, I would not mind sending some copies out for the cost of postage & blank disk... (I don't mind copies but only if they are effectivley free)

You will need special software to copy it. I use clone CD.

We have had the same problem. Found out one of the empty fuse positions needed a fuse to get the lighter to work. Try checking all fuses or fill all the blanks
