Mk5 transit van, free spares

Postby Tribby » Thu Sep 22, 2016 9:25 pm

Hi guys,
My 91 plate transit has finally had its day, im keeping the engine and gear box.
If any one needs anything else well the rest is free if you can pick it up, id love to see it recycled to your vans not crushed
If it doesn't rust then its not a transit

Hi pete,
I live in the southeast (thanet).
Yes once the engine is out it will be a rolling shell this van at the moment is mechanically sound, but its the weld underneath. Ive owned the van for 12yrs and some of the welding needs welding again, when does a van become unsafe hence spares my personal opinion is keep your family safe. I know this van inside out an over the years we hve done loads of welding.

Hi derv 23,
Id rather the lot go as it is on the drive at the moment. As we all know to well how long it takes to strip and finally get the last parts moved on.
Im in the southeast (thanet).
Ive jst put new front bearings discs and pads on, there is a new oil filter in the foot well ready for a service, i didnt expect to find a new transit in such a good condition so fast.

if it doesn't rust then its not a transit.
Mk7 2009, rwd, mwb high top transit.
