just realised I have a transit cruise wheel, and the BCM... but forgot all about the squib

anyone know if they're much from ford ? - I'd just drop into ford, but only ford parts place is bloody useless, have to go armed with part numbers or they can;t find a thing :-s

You don't need another squib, it is the wires from the wheel and the other end to the bcm you need. Squib are all the same :-)

Bought a Focus Ghia steering wheel in the end

ghia wheel reverse.jpg

Although the holes are at 9/3 as opposed to offset on the Transit wheel
When I went into IDS to calibrate the SAS, IDS said not configured or fitted.
So took it out for a test drive, no ABS or ESP lights on and the cruise worked spot on

Result :D

56 plates never had esp.
That's why you didn't need to calibrate the sensor, cos you haven't got one ;)

According ETIS it has and the light comes on the dash, there is no switch like there was on my 05 mk6 but the trim package is the same, GLX.
Still the cruise is fully operational now and that's another nice to have installed.
Much thanks to those who have helped with advice.

It'll have brake only traction control, that's why there's no dash switch. Esp with switch came in around 2008

Hi i need some advice on a issue with my Van,
I had a 2009 mk7 transit with Cruise, ESP, Hill assist,Traction control, etc etc. it got smashed and could not be repaired. So i bought a 2010 mk7 transit but it did not have cruise control or the other features.

So i swapped the BCM, engine ECU and the blue part of the key into the newer van.

The van starts and drives great the cruise control works, the buttons on the left side of the wheel which turn on the cruise control are working and the light on the dash only comes on after i hit the set button and its using the cruise control .
But my biggest problem is my ABS light is on and the hand brake light is on too.

Any idea as to why the ABS and handbrake light are on?
Do i need the ABS module out of the smashed van to fix the problem?
Or do have to get FORD to use the scan tool to make a connection with the ABS module?
Or should i change the instrument cluster as well?

Thanks in advance
George

It needs correcting, it needs calibrating and asbuilt for the 2010 van as the config will be wrong. Then it needs cruise activating.

Or

Swap the bcm/pcm/abs/speedo/key.

But it'll still have the identity of the 2009 van stored.

You only needed the bcm changed if the 2010 bcm wasn't 'C' spec? Then all programmed.

I'll say the esp pumps are the same spec just not configured to the now setup.

Spoke to van tuner he explained to me where the YAW sensor is on my 2009 van and the 2010 van dosent have the plug for it in the dash loom, so i might get martin to cancel the ESP on the BCM or swap the wiring loom.
Its nice to have the cruise control back!

Ah no esp, i assumed it was present, the sensor is just spliced power to the sas and canbus but if you also don't have the switch or wiring for it then not worth it i guess, still wants what i said tho i think, Martyn will sorry you out :D

Go to page 1 and the first image is the bcm, right click view image and you'll see the white label with part numbers on.
Is that where you were looking?

Although yours will be the high spec 1 if you have the items you said.
