As above de adjust shoes let handbrake off, remove halfshaft & hub nuts & pull ! Another way is to remove wheels remove hub nuts, bolt halfshaft to hub reverse way & using it like a lever the hub/drum comes off but pulls all the old downs etc off, this is an extreme way !

this is the way - they rarely but rarely separate from the hub like they're supposed to

i can confirm that you do need to take the halfshaft out and have first hand experiance as we had to go to a luton stranded at the side of the road with his wheels and drum 3 feet from the axle because the locknut wasnt fastened properly

twin wheels(mk3 defo)the drum will come off without removing the halfshaft....type 53 axle..either mine is unuasual or something but when i had a bearing go i can defo remember that i removed the drum first then the half shaft .then the big nut that hold the wheel bearing on then the hub ..
Anyone fancy stripping down a twin wheel??I would have to take a few pics but the van wont be home again till the weekend as its somewhere near wales with a driver doing a delivery.
