Hi
I'm looking for the trailer tow module fuse (83) which is supposed to be in the passenger foot well. Just spent 1 hour looking there but could not find it.
Anyone have any idea?

To answer my own question, the fuse is with the trailer tow module at the rear of the passenger step under the plastic cover

Mk7 Battery Fuse Box

Postby v8dave » Wed Dec 27, 2017 1:30 pm

mk7 pre-fuses.png

Mk 7 battery or pre-fuse box.
Details from the ford owners handbook.
It lives in the rear of the drivers seat support behind the battery.

Note: this is the dual battery version with the large battery isolator relay. Single battery versions have a solid link in it's place. Access requires you to remove the battery restraint frame.

mk7 08reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD
mk6 X reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD - scrapped
mk4 J reg 2.5 L300 LWB MHR RWD - sold on

Notice a trend there ? not too big and not too small

Hi all,

Thanks firstly for great info, would never i a million years located the sneaky fusebox.
Problem i currently have is twofold, firstly radio stopped working. i did fit new after market one, have fitted original back also now not working
checked voltages on red and yellow, have ignition power 12.1v but no perm 12v.
removed new adapter loom and confirmed same on the master loom plug.
Used your info regarding fuses checked both have continuity not just visual check.
2nd part of the puzzle is the reversing sensors now don't work, coincidence i don't think so not been able to locate the control box as yet. i have a mountain of extra relays fuses and boxes in the van (ex gas board / transo one) so have the genny and compressor aux lights heater and all the other gubbins that goes on in the back. this all works at moment so don't think related in anyway.
A look on line seems to show other people having a similar fault to this but no answers given. i have spent the last three night for couple hours each and got no where as yet. totally confused and perplexed as to why this is going on !!!
any ideas gratefully received

Adrian

I have the same problem. It is on the passenger side behind the drivers seat. lift up the cover and undo the two bolts (#8) on the bracket holding the battery clamp. then undo the (#10) nut in the middle of the battery clamp out of sight and resessed in a groove so that you cannot see it. then disconnect the battery cables. I did not get further than this as my light was failing but I believe the fuse box is there.

When I posted my last post I had not got to the fuse box. When I got to it it was clear that I was incorrect. It turns out that to find this fuse box one must remove the glove compartment on the passengers side. Then unclip the fuse box that you can see. and roll it forward on the hinges at the bottom of it behind it. Then you will see the correct fuse box. I tested all of these and there appeared to be nothing wrong with the fuses. I went back to the locking of the car and everything worked on the key as it should do. I am not happy that I did not find a bad fuse or some indication of a bad connection. If any one else has had this problem and can tell me how they solved it I will be more than thankful. Mean while I am driving and wondering when I will not be able to lock the van again.

Thanks for the answer to the interior lights fuse location.

I've replaced the blown fuse, but the new fuse has immediately blown :( Any hints or tips for finding the cause?

Thanks

The rear interior light switch can short out. If the fuse for interior lights is blowing, i suggest unplugging all 4 and then replace the fuse then plug in each interior light 1 by 1. I would maybe do the front 1 then both cargo ones then the rear front 1
